Forty Cent Fix began in 1999 as a two teenagers from arnprior recording music on a four track. Eventually they started looking for a third member to begin playing shows. In September of 2000, after recording five songs at a local studio, John and Eric found Jordan. At this point the three were attending high school, and started off by playing at assemblies and music nights at the school. In the fall they recorded another two songs. The summer of 2001 the band decided to record another seven songs and then release their first cd featuring all twelve songs they had recorded. The Snowball Effect was released in December of 2001. In this same month, the threesome became a foursome as Drew was added to the lineup as the new bass player, and John switched to guitar. The band was playing shows, mostly in Arnprior and Renfrew. In November of 2002, Forty Cent Fix got their first show in Ottawa, which would be followed by many more over the year. Fix has now started working on a second album, which is much more matured and experienced. It is set to be released sometime in late 2003 or early 2004. At the end of the summer there will be another change in the lineup, as Jordan will be leaving for school, James will be fillin the shoes. Fix is looking to do a tour and/or more out of town shows in the near future.
